Worried and worn out?

Listen to me and answer me; I am worn out by my worries. Ps 55:2 (GNT)

The Bible says 'do not worry about anything' (Phil. 4:6). Would there be a human being who has never worried about anything? Impossible! This verse may also be translated from Greek as 'do not continue to worry'.

It is natural for man to worry about something. But you may be worn out if you worry continuously. The damage would be worse and harder to repair.

Are you worried more about what you will eat and drink (Mtt. 6:25)? How about your grief and sorrow for the perishing souls (Rom. 9:2)?

Worry about tomorrow only if you know how much you will have to worry tomorrow.

Prayer: Lord, help me to give all my worries to you as you care for me. Amen (1 Pet. 5:7)
