Honour the Lord

B. A. Manakala

Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for His glory and strength. Honor the Lord for the glory of His name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. Ps 29:1-2

Whom do you honour the most in your life? How would you honour a chief guest or guest of honour? How would you show your respect for such a person? Again, why do you honour those you honour?

The phrase 'honour the Lord' appears four times in the two versus above. Glory, strength, splendour and holiness are some of the words in these verses that tell us why we should honour Him. None of these characteristics may be attributed to any of the other guests we honour.

He is worthy of all glory and honor (Rev 4:11). Reflect how do you honour the Lord?

When you honour the Lord you are honoured.

Prayer:
Lord, please help me to honour You throughout my life. Amen
