Sleeping God!

Wake up, O Lord! Why do You sleep? Get up! Do not reject us forever. Why do You look the other way? Why do You ignore our suffering and oppression? Ps 44:23-24 

During tough times in life we may ask God: "why do you ignore my suffering?" Even in the midst of COVID19 pandemic many may ask God similar questions. Psalm 44:9-22 describes many ways in which God is ignoring them though they follow God and his instructions.

God, in fact, neither slumbers nor sleeps (Ps 121:4). Each day he carries us and our burden (68:19). He is always active. Yet, it is good to express yourself before God. Even Jesus did (Mtt 27:46)

God is active even when you are not!

Prayer:
Lord, help me to learn about the depth of Your love and care for me. Amen

பெருங்காற்றுக்கும் புயலுக்கும் தப்ப விரைந்து செல்வேன். சங் 55: 8 இந்த நாட்களில் சமூக தூரத்தை பின்பற்றுவது முக்கியம்;  ஆனால், தனிமை (சமூக தனிமை) பற்றி என்ன?  இந்த சங்கீதத்தில் தாவீது ஏறக்குறைய ஒரு சந்நியாசி வாழும் வாழ்க்கையையே விரும்புகிறார். இந்த உலகத்தின் கஷ்டங்களிலிருந்து ஓட நீங்கள் எப்போதாவது விரும்பியிருக்கிறீர்களா?  வெறுப்பு, ஊழல், சுயநலம் மற்றும் எதுவல்ல? ஒருமுறை மறுரூபமலையில் பேதுரு இயேசுவிடம்,  "நாம் இங்கே இருப்பது நல்லது;  நான் மூன்று தங்குமிடங்களை உருவாக்குகிறேன்" என்றான். ஆனால் இறுதியில் அவர்கள் கீழே வர வேண்டியிருந்தது (மத் 17: 1-9). ஓநாய்களிடையே இருக்கும் ஆடுகளைப் போல நாம் இந்த பூமியில் இருக்கிறோம்; ஆனால் நாம் பாம்புகளைப் போல புத்திசாலித்தனமாகவும், புறாக்களைப் போல கபடமற்றவர்களாகவும் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. ஆனால் சோதனைகளும், உபத்திரவங்களும் இருக்கும் (மத் 10: 16-19). சமூக தனிமை என்பது சமூக வேற்றுமைக்கு ஒரு தீர்வு அல்ல. சமூகத்தில் வாழும் தெய்வீக மனிதர்களால் சமூக நல்லிணக்கம் ஏற்படுகிறது. ஜெபம்: ஆண்டவரே, நான் சமூக தனிமைக்கு ஆசைப்படா...

Cause humiliation?

B. A. Manakala Don’t let those who trust in you be ashamed because of me, O Sovereign Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Don’t  let me cause them to be humiliated, O God of Israel. (Ps 69:6 nlt) The school was fed up with the boy because of his naughty behaviour. Finally, he was asked to bring his guardian to the school. The father arrived and the principal asked several questions to the father. But he stood humiliated and ashamed, listening to all the complaints about his son. Humiliation can happen in two ways: 1) you can cause humiliation in others 2) others can cause humiliation in you. You may not necessarily know or feel bad when you cause humiliation in others. Sometimes you may never even know how you may be causing humiliation in others. You may not be hurt when others are humiliated; but it will usually hurt you when you are humiliated (Ps. 69:6-8). காலை, மதிய மற்றும் இரவு உணவு!

அந்தி, சந்தி, மத்தியான வேளைகளிலும் நான் தியானம் பண்ணி முறையிடுவேன். அவர் என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்பார். சங் 55:17. என் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம், மிகவும் உண்மையுள்ளவனாய், மறக்காமல் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிற ஒரு காரியம் உண்டென்றால் அது எனது காலை, மதிய மற்றும் இரவு உணவு உட்கொள்ளல்! தாவீதும், ஒரு நாளின் மூன்று வேளையும் ஏதோ ஒன்றைச் செய்வதாகக் கூறுகிறார். அது என்னவென்றால், 'தேவனை நோக்கி முறையிடுவது' (சங் 55:17). உணவை வேளை தவறாமலும், அடிக்கடியும் உட்கொள்வது முக்கியம் தான். உடற்பயிற்சி செய்வதும் நல்லதே (1தீமோ 4:7). ஆனால், மேற்கூறிய அட்டவணையைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பது உங்கள் சரீரத்திற்கு மட்டுமே உதவும்.  உங்களது வெளிப்பிரகாரமான சரீரத்திற்கு எத்தனை முறை உணவளிக்கிறீர்களோ, குறைந்தபட்சம் அத்தனை முறையாவது உங்கள் உள்ளான மனிதனையும் போஷிக்க நினைவில் கொள்ளுங்கள். உங்கள் ஆவி தொடர்ந்து உயிர் பிழைக்க கண்ணீரே போதுமானது (சங் 42:3). நீங்கள் தேவனைத் தீவிரமாய் நேசிக்கிறீர்களென்றால், உங்கள் ஆவியை போஷியுங்கள். மற்றவர்களின் ஆவியையும் கூட நீங்கள் போஷிக்க வேண்டும் (யோவான் 21:15-22). தேவனோடு கூட எத்தனை நீண்ட காலமாகவும், எவ்வளவு ஆழமான தொடர...
